Tremor jolts Ctg again

A minor tremor measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale jolted the port city and its adjoining areas yesterday.

However, no causalities or damage was reported.

On Wednesday, a moderate tremor measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale jolted the city and its adjoining areas.

Yesterday's quake shook the city at 2:51pm and lasted for 18 seconds.

The distance of the epicentre was 163 kilometres off the country's lone seismic observatory at Ambagan in the port city, sources in the centre said.

The tremor was the seventh in this year and the first of this month, they added.
