Election commissioners

Thank you for your well-timed commentary on the controversy surrounding the election commissioners and the voter roll. It would be correct to say that the CEC has been a disgrace and has completely failed in his task of making an accurate voter roll, which is crucial for free, and fair elections. While even the ruling alliance ministers such as Moudud Ahmed are criticising the gross inaccuracies in the voter roll, the CEC is vehemently denying these allegations and refuses to obey the High Court verdict of updating the voter roll of 2000. The two other election commissioners have not been much of help either.

I do believe it is time for the trio to step down. Entire villages and even MPs have been left out of the voter roll, while a bus counter contains up to 20 voters! How can such lapses be tolerated?
