Guard shot in city

A security guard was shot by robbers at Demra in the city yesterday. The robbers fired at Daud Mia, 30, a security guard of Boxnagar area, as he saw them crossing the boundary wall of one Mustafiz's house at about 3:30am. When Daud raised an alarm the local people chased the robbers. While fleeing, the robbers opened fire at him. Critically injured Daud is now under treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
