At least four people were killed and seven others injured in Brahmanbaria and Manikganj yesterday.UNB from Brahmanbaria adds: Three people were killed and seven others injured when an oil lorry rammed a tempo at Puniaut in the district town yesterday. The dead were identified as Shekhar, 35, Abu Sayeed, 40, and Musa Mia, 28. Police said the accident occurred when the deceased and injured were returning home by the tempo after appearing before the district court in a case. The injured were admitted to Sadar Hospital. Police seized the lorry, but its driver managed to flee. Our Correspondent from Manikganj says: A boy was killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Aricha highway at Pukhuria under Ghior Police Station in Manikganj yesterday. The dead was identified as Rubel, 14, son of Awlad Hossain of Pukhuria village under Ghior Police Station in Manikganj. The accident occurred when a Paturia-bound BRTC bus from Dhaka hit Rubel while he was crossing the road. He succumbed to his injuries on the way to Manikganj Sadar Hospital. The angry people put up barricade on the road following the accident disrupting vehicular movement for about one and half hours.
