Ton-up Mizan


Rajshahi batsman Mizan struck a magnificent hundred on the first day of the two-day semifinal of the Dhaka Bank Under-19 National Youth Cricket tournament at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur yesterday.

Mizan batted patiently as he faced 158 balls and struck thirteen boundaries on his way to 102. He was later dismissed, as Rajshahi were all out for 288.

He was well supported by Rabiul and Zahid who scored 34 and 32 respectively.

Nazmul took four wickets, while Humayun took a couple as well, and both were not out as Narayanganj were 10 for no loss at the end of the day.

In the other semifinal, Khulna were yet to be bowled out as they ended the day at 272 for 9 against Barisal at the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium.

Atiq was unbeaten on 73, while Rabiul and Adnan scored 38 each. Imran also contributed with 32. Masud took 3 for 67.
