Police sources quoting Md Abdur Rahim, principal of Daroil Madrasa, said students of the madrasa noticed a bag hanging on the wall of an abandoned classroom and informed him of the matter. He later informed Dinajpur police about the bag around 10:00am.

A police team of Dinajpur Police Station led by Officer-in charge (OC) Md Hamidur Rashid went to the spot and recovered the bombs which were wrapped with tape.

None was arrested in this connection. The incident left students, parents and madrasa authorities in panic.
