On the occasion, different cultural organisations such as Udichi, Wrishiz and Kranti along with artiste Fakir Alamgir will perform for the audience.

Alamgir will also perform in several special TV programmes on the occasion of May Day. A solo musical programme of Alamgir will be aired on STV. Tritiya Matra on Channel i, Ajker Shokal on Rtv and a special programme on ATN Bangla will also feature Alamgir's songs.

Other special programmes to be aired on the day are Alor Pother Jatri on Channel i and a Gano Sangeet programme featuring songs by Udichi and Wrishiz on Baishakhi TV.
