K M Shamsul Hasan, also known as Naoshad, 52, a resident of Mirpur 6, hanged himself with a rope from a ceiling fan at around 11:30pm at his in-laws house.

His nephew KM Shakil Alam Kakon told the police that he might have killed himself due to unhappy relations with his wife.

His body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Morgue for autopsy.

An unnatural death case was filed with Mirpur police station in this regard.
