1.5 kg heroin worth Tk 1.5 crore seized in city

The members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) seized 1.5 kg heroin worth around Tk 1.5 crore and arrested a drug trader raiding a hotel at Fakirerpool in the city's Motijheel area yesterday.Tipped off that an organised gang of drug traders are waiting in the Hotel Alif with some drugs, a team of Rab-3 raided the third floor of the hotel and seized the heroin containing in two polyethylene packets, said a Rab press release. The arrestee is Shukur Ali, 28. A case was filed against the arrestee with Motijheel Police Station, the release added.
