Two-hour power outage at ministers' houses demanded

'Citizen Rights Movement' held a citizens' rally at the Institute of Fine Arts on the Dhaka University campus yesterday demanding two-hour loadshedding, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, at the residential area for the ministers.Chief Advisor of the organisation and former Information Secretary Syed Margub Morshed presided over the programmes. Citizen Rights Movement Convener and executive director of 'Karmakutir Foundation' Tushar Rehman read out a written statement at the rally. Tushar said the acute power outage has become a national crisis. Normal life of people has become tough following the massive loadshedding and power outage, he added. He said industry and farming are severely hampered due to power crisis. Advocate Abed Raza, Barrister Sadira Arman, Ifma Hossain, Advocate Julfiqar Akter Reeta, Dr Jesmin Ara Sultana Sathi, Advocate Abul Kalam Azad, Alhaj Md Nazimuddin Ali, Sharifuzzaman Sharif, Mamun Z Abedin and B Chowdhury Mamun also spoke at the rally.
