Ban on 7 human haulers urged

Western Motors, sole distributor of Bajaj Tempo Ltd, in Bangladesh has urged the police to impose a ban on seven passenger carrying human haulers in Gulshan and Baridhara area, which are plying without valid documents.Afzal Hossain, proprietor of western motors in a letter to the commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), urged for imposing a ban as those are plying through managing some police officials. He told the Daily Star that his company owns the vehicles and those were given to some drivers on contact with some conditions. But the drivers of those human haulers have running the vehicles without any fitness certificate, tax token and insurance coverage for years. The documents of the vehicles were not renewed in the last two years, he alleged. Disclaiming his liability, he said as he has no control over those vehicles, he has no responsibility for any violation of the government rules. Afzal hossain further said he could not establish his control over those vehicles even after lodging compliant with police several times. The vehicles are bearing registration Number Dhaka metro cha-11-2152,11-2287,11-2326,11-2187,11-2288,11-2271 and 11-2313.
