Church set ablaze in Panchhari

A group of criminals on Thursday night set fire to a Church in a remote area in Panchhari upazila of the district, officials said yesterday.BDR sources said the arson attack at the inaccessible Lumbapara might have link with the conversion of local Buddhists to Christianity. Upazila nirbahi officer of Panchhari and BDR zonal commander visited the area yesterday. A BDR contingent was deployed there to avert further violence.
