BD A one-day team named

Ehsanul Haque was included in the Bangladesh A squad when the selectors announced a 13-member squad yesterday for the three-match one-day series against Sri Lanka A.

The Chittagong right-hander, who played a single Test and six one-day matches for Bangladesh, was the top scorer in the recently concluded first-class competition of the National Cricket League with 955 runs in ten matches but he was relatively ordinary in the shorter-version with 242 runs in nine matches.

On yet another occasion, the Faruque Ahmed-led selection committee ignored in-form Al Shahriar. However, Khulna wicketkeeper-cum-batsman Sahagir Hossain and middle-order batsman from Chittagong Nazimuddin earned call-ups. Tushar Imran was retained as captain to lead the second-string Bangladesh side.

The first match will take place at the Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra, where the teams are now playing the second and final Test, on April 4 and the last two one-dayers will be held at the Khulna Divisional Stadium on April 6 and April 8.
