Khulna DB takes up case for bomb attack on AL leader

The case recorded under the Explosives Act for bomb attack on Awami League leader Shaikh yunus Ali has been transferred to the Detective Branch of Khulna metropolitan Police (KMP) from Khanjahan Ali thana for fair investigation. Inspector Mahfuz will investigate the case filed on February 20.Two listed criminals Bomaru Kamrul and Nazrul, arrested earlier as suspects in the incident, have been taken on remand for two days for interrogation. They are among five FIR-named accused. Three other accused including the alleged mastermind behind the bomb attack are yet to be arrested. Right hand of Shaikh Yunus Ali, a KCC commissioner, was blown off in the bomb attack on him, the second time in about a month.
