Five hurt in bomb attack at Jhenidah


At least five people were injured in a bomb attack on Sher-e-Bangla road in the district town last night.

The injured are Shariful Islam, 44, owner of a brick kiln, his two office managers Roushan, 40, and Nizam, 40, and two workers Mintu, 38, and Lutfor, 40.

Local said a gang of four carrying bombs in a bag came to the office of the brick kiln at about 8:00pm and exploded two bombs, injuring the five.

Of the injured, Shariful, Roushan and Nizam were admitted to Sadar Hospital while Mintu and Lutfor given first aid.

The reason behind the attack could not be known.
