JU students assault former teacher

A group of students of Department of Business Administration yesterday assaulted a former teacher on the Jahangirnagar University (JU) campus. Tanvir Ahmad Siddiqui, who was suspended in November last year from the department for his indecent behaviour with girl students, was beaten up by the students at university Prantik gates, said a witness and friend of Tanvir preferring anonymity. The students stopped him at Gate No-1 and forcibly took him to Prantik Gate when he was returning home after attending the convocation. Tanvir was rushed to Rabeya clinic from where he was sent to Dhaka.
