Jaap Stam back home

Dutch AC Milan central defender Jaap Stam has signed for Ajax on a two-year contract starting this July, the top Dutch club said on Monday. Stam, 33, has previously played for Manchester United, Lazio and Ajax's Dutch rivals PSV Eindhoven. "Jaap Stam is a very experienced defender who has worked for several top teams. We think he can add great value to our young and talented team," Ajax's technical director Martin van Geel said.
