Heroin worth Tk 1 cr seized

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) yesterday seized more than one kilogram of heroin worth about Tk 1 crore and a touchstone idol in Keraniganj. They also arrested four alleged drug peddlers. They are identified as Mohammad Yar Ali, 60, and Mohammad Azizul Islam, 28, of Dabikanda village in Masail under Nababganj upazila, Dudu Miah, 53, of Lakherchar village of Rohitpur under Keraniganj upazila and Joinal Abedin, 34, of Dholaipar under Demra thana in the city. According to Rab-10, they arrested the four and seized the heroin along with the touchstone from Rohitpur village while they were handing over those to other peddlers in the evening.
