New 500 taka note from tomorrow

New prints of 500 taka notes with the signature of Governor of Bangladesh Bank Salehuddin Ahmed will be issued tomorrow. The new note measuring 152 mm by 65 mm has the photo of the National Mausoleum on the front side and that of the Supreme Court building on the back. The fresh note will be issued from Motijheel office of the Bangladesh Bank on January 3. The note will be issued from the other offices of BB later, according to a BB press release. The other 500 taka notes now in circulation will continue to be valid notes alongside the new Tk 500 bills, said the release.
