Witnesses said the BSF fired shots at Alkasuddin, 40, of village Schooldangi as he was looking for his missing cow. He died on the spot. BSF took away the body following the shooting.

Bangladesh Rifles (BDR), informed by a BSF letter, identified the body yesterday morning with the help of locals.

Family members of Alkas are waiting at the border to receive his body from BSF who are yet to respond about handing over the body.
