Cop held for snatching cattle trader's money

Rajshahi police yesterday arrested a police constable on a charge of snatching money from a cattle trader and recovered the looted money. The arrested policeman was identified as Masud Rana. Another constable named Akbar Ali, who accompanied Rana, is absconding. Police said Rana and Ali snatched Tk 7.5 lakh from one Abdur Razzak in Roypara area of the city on Thursday night at gunpoint. After arresting Rana who confessed to his crime, the law enforcers recovered Tk 6.9 lakh from his village in Godagari.
