Khulna BJP leader injured in bomb attack

A local leader of ruling coalition partner Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) came under a bomb attack by unidentified men in the city's Shiromoni area last night, but luckily escaped unhurt.Police said the bomb was hurled at General Secretary of district BJP Akram Hossain, 50, while he was getting into his car in front of his office at about 9:30pm. However, both Akram and his driver emerged unscathed from the blast that left the windshield of the car shattered, police quoted an eyewitness as saying. It was not clear who made the attack.
