Fire Brigade to be deployed in Khulna court area

Khulna Metropolitan Police has decided to keep fire brigade units stand-by in court areas in the city during office hours as part of security measures following the suicide bomb attacks in Jhalakati, Gazipur and Chittagong.DC Akbar Ali of KMP said water is indispensable for defusing a live bomb. But there is no source of getting water from any area near the courts. Besides, plan is also underway to raise barbed wire barricades to prevent processionists from entering court compounds, said Assistant Police Ccommissioner Anisur Rahman of KMP's traffic division. Police have started checking all residential hotels in Khulna city as part of the ongoing drive to nab Islamic extremists.
