"The boys performed superbly in the Afro-Asian U-19 tournament in India and we have also taken this tournament as serious," said coach Sumithra Warnakulasuriya at a news conference at a city hotel on Wednesday.

Manager Ashley de Silva and captain Angelo Mathews were also present.

The 18-member squad arrived in Dhaka on Tuesday night. They play their first match against England at the Fatullah Cricket Stadium tomorrow.
