Eid Treats
Special programmes on TV Channels
This Eid-ul-Fitr, TV viewers are in for a treat. Channel i, ntv, ATN Bangla and BTV are offering a combination of special TV plays, feature films, tele-films and magazine programmes on the occasion of Eid. The programmes will be aired throughout the week, starting from a day prior to Eid and will feature noted and popular artistes. Here are the highlights of the Eid special programmes.

Geeti Modhumoy: Runa Laila's solo musical programme, will be aired on Eid day at 9.40pm. Tanvir Khan has directed the programme, which features five ghazals sung by Runa Laila.

Gaaney Gaaney Duijonar: Noted singers will pair up with popular actors, models like Bappa Majumdar and Aupee Karim, Ayub Bachchu and Tisha, Shakila Zafar and Nobel, Asif and Moushumi and others will take part in the musical soiree. Arif Khan is the director of Gaaney Gaaney Duijonar. The musical show will be aired on the 2nd day of Eid at 9.40pm.

Kamola Ranir Shagor Dighi: Palagaan, the prominent genre of folk music of greater Mymensingh region, will be presented by palakar Abdul Kuddus Boyati on the Eid day at 11:00 pm. Dramatic presentation of the pala depicts the tragedy of Kamala Rani, a young maid. Kamola Ranir Shagor Dighi is directed by Parvez Chowdhury.

Brihonnola: Viewers can enjoy Humayun Ahmed's popular character Misir Ali in the tele-film Brihonnola. This time Misir Ali solves a new problem in the tele-film directed by Animesh Aich. Tauquir Ahmed, Swatabdi Wadud, Rahmat Ali and others have performed in Brihonnola, which will be aired at 2:30 pm on the fourth day of the Eid.

BTV special
Hanif Sanket once again presents an Eid special Ittyadi, to be telecast on the 2nd day of Eid on BTV. This Ittyadi, as usual, starts with the song Ramzaner oi rojar sheshey elo khushir Eid. Three star singers Niaz Mohammed Chowdhury, Andrew Kishor and Kumar Bishwajit will perform in the show. Popular actors Riaz and Ferdous will perform in a special item. There's more: popular divas Sabina Yasmin, Shakila Zafar and Kanak Chapa will perform a song together.

As part of the Eid special programmes, BTV will air tele-film Brishtir Porey. Brishtir Porey features Aupee Karim, Nobel, Monalisa and Sharmili Ahmed. Director of the film, Chayonika Chowdhury has written the script. Bappa Majumder has rendered the theme song. The tele-film will be aired on BTV, on the second day of Eid-Ul-Fitr at 8:30pm.

Dekha Shona: Abdul Aziz's play Dekha Shona will be aired on the second day Eid special arrangement of BTV at 5: 30 p.m. Sadek Bachchu, Proma Aziz, Toni Dayes and others perform in Dekha Shona.

ATN Bangla collection
Hason Raza: Chashi Nazrul Islam's Bangla feature film Hason Raza featuring: Helal Khan, Shami Kaiser, Babita, Mukti, Shimla and others will be aired on ATN Bangla on the 3rd day of Eid at 12.30pm.

Boomerang: On the second day of Eid, ATN Bangla presents a star-studded telefilm, Boomerang. Humayun Faridee, Zahid Hasan, Monalisa, Shagota, Rupak Talukdar and others have acted in this film. Directed by popular actor Zahid Hasan, telefilm Boomerang will be telecast at 1:10pm.

Urchey Achol Droupadir: Written and directed by Mohon Khan, TV play Urchey Achol Droupadir will be telecast on the 2nd day Eid on ATN Bangla at 10:30pm. It's a story of a young man named Ranju who is crazy about acting on TV. Jitu Ahsan, Ria, Mir Sabbir, Chumki, Elora Gowhor and others have enacted the diverse characters of the play.

Talk Jhaal Mishti: Directed by Debashish Bishwas social comedy film Tak Jhaal Mishti will be premiered on Eid-Ul-Fitr at 02:40pm on ATN Bangla. The film has an impressive star cast with Riaz, Purnima, ATM Shamsuzzaman and Shahidul Alam Shachchu heading the list. Other artistes are Dr Ejazul Islam, Shaju Khadem, Ratan Khan, Shawon Ashraf, Rasheda Chowdhury and Shajan, among others.

Channel i exclusives
Special tele-film Dhatterika will be aired on the third day of Eid. Written by Manik Manobik, the tele-film has been directed by Golam Sohrab Dodul. Srabonti, Riaz, Chandni, Aranya and Tushar Khan have acted in the film. The tele-film has been shot in Kathmandu. The plot evolves around a young woman named Sanjana, her passion for traveling and the events she is confronted with.

On the fourth day of Eid, blockbuster Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, dubbed in Bangla, is the main attraction of the day. JK Rowling’s bestseller has been beautifully adapted for the big screen, which has become a favourite among children everywhere.

Telefilm Tiner Tolowar by Ashutosh Shujon, two single episode TV plays Pipasha and Makeup Room will be aired on the same day.

The fifth day of Eid will offer viewers a special tele-film Nimraji, written and directed by Abul Hayat. The cast of the tele-film includes Touquir Ahmed, Bipasha Hayat, Shahed, Abul Hayat and Sharmili Ahmed.

Also on the cards is Shada Borofer Chand, a play directed by Shomi Kaiser. The actors are Shomi Kaiser, Oli, Tahsan, Tanjika and Kayes Chowdhury.
