Hasina invited to Saarc summit

An invitation card addressed to the Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Sheikh Hasina to attend the inaugural and concluding sessions of the 13th Saarc Summit reached the Sudha Sadan, opposition leader's residence, yesterday.Alauddin Ahmed Chowdhury, private secretary to the Leader of the Opposition, confirmed the receipt of the invitation card saying, "It is not a special invitation, rather a part of mass-invitation distributed among ministers and MPs by the Speaker's office." "The Leader of the Opposition everyday receives innumerable cards from the Speaker's office on various occasions. This invitation to attend the Saarc summit also was mailed in a similar process," he added.
