BSF kills 1

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) shot dead a Bangladeshi fisherman on Gayerpara border under Daulatpur upazila of the district early yesterday.The victim was identified as Zahidul Islam, 30, of Gayerpara village. The Indian border guards of Jalangi outpost in Murshidabad district opened fire on Zahidul while he was fishing in the river Padma at about 1:00am. Zahidul died on the spot. The BSF men took away the body. Confirming the incident, local commander of Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) said they have strongly protested the killing. The BSF did not return the body as of 6:00pm yesterday.
