Great loss

The resignation Of Kazi Salahuddin as vice-president and chairman of the National Team Management Committee (NTMC) following the appointment of a new manager of the Under-20 team is a great loss to the sports administration in the country.

Mr. Salahuddin is a name in our sports arena and anyone would understand his non-conformist attitude to imprudent and irrational action if we follow his career as player, captain and coach and now as an official. To quote Mr. Sultan, "Salahuddin is a jewel in our crown. We would request him on behalf of the nation to stay with us for the greater interest of football."

Here I would like to add that Mr. Sultan should also reconsider the decision that forced Salahuddin to act the way he did.
