Former Airport OC sued

Salauddin Shoib Chowdhury, sacked managing director of Inqilab TV, yesterday filed a criminal case against Abdul Hanif, the then officer-in-charge (OC) of Airport Police Station, accusing him of embezzling 3,000 US dollars on November 29, 2003. The case was filed against the OC with the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court, Dhaka. After hearing, Metropolitan Magistrate Mizanur Rahman took the complaint into cognisance and directed the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to take necessary action against the OC on an investigation into the matter.
