'Oust failed govt to get rid of sufferings’

Bangabandhu Adarsha Mullayon and Gobeshona Sangsad formed a human chain in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi in the city yesterday protesting price-hike of essentials and series bomb attacks and demanding reforms of the caretaker government and Election Commission.Sangsad President Dr Wazed Miah, who is also the husband of Awami League Chief Sheikh Hasina, participated in an hour-long human chain from 11.00am to 12.00 noon. AL central leaders including Obaidul Quader, Prof Abu Sayeed, Rashed Mosharraf, Prof A K Azad Chowdhury and Haji Selim also took part in the human chain. Obaidul Quader said this government has made the people's life miserable by failing to control the price of essentials. Without removing the 'failed' government the people will not get rid of their current sufferings, he added. Obaidul Quader termed the alliance government as the most corrupt one in the history of the country.
