It's a matter of great courage to publish a news item claiming the involvement of a former army personnel in the series of bomb blasts. The Daily Star has again lived up to its mission statement: Journalism without fear or favour.Right after the news was published, there was reaction from the army itself. The army simply denied the incident, which was very natural. They blamed the media for publishing such news. None of them actually asked for a thorough investigation. What surprised me most is the news carried by a Bengalee daily that the allegation was baseless.
