Bangladeshi firms get $1.3m spot order from fair in Nepal


The 5-day Bangladesh Single Country Fair in Kathmandu concluded yesterday with spot orders of US$ 1.3 million for a variety of Bangladeshi products displayed in the fair.

Besides the spot orders, negotiations are also going on between Bangladeshi exporters and Nepalese importers for prospective order of US$ 685,000 for a number of Bangladeshi goods.

During the fair, exhibitors sold a variety of Bangladeshi products worth more than US$ 3 million, according to a message received from Kathmandu.

In the education sector, State University of Bangladesh has signed MoU with Tribhuwan and Kathmandu University for exchange of faculty members, scholars and researchers. Similarly, Victoria University also signed a MOU with Tribhuwan University.

A good number of Nepalese students got spot admission to those universities and many more have also shown interest to get admitted in Victoria University, State University and Dhaka International University.
