Tiger kills one in Sundarbans

A fisherman was killed yesterday by a man-eating Royal Bengal Tiger in the Sundarbans. The victim was identified as Arshad Ali Gazi, 60, of Village Munshigonj in Shyamnagar upazila. Quoting local people, police said a group of fishermen went to the Sundarbans to catch fish, after taking permission from the forest department on Friday. As soon as they reached Pashurtala area, a Royal Bengal Tiger swooped on the victim and dragged him into the deep forest.
