Family of slain UN peacekeeper gets compensation
Family of a Bangladeshi UN peacekeeper, killed in Congo this year, received compensation worth Tk 32.49 lakh ($50,000) from the United Nations yesterday in the city, says a press release.

The Chief of the Naval Staff Rear Admiral M Hasan Ali Khan handed over the cheque to the family members of late Muhammad Nurul Islam, a leading seaman of the Bangladesh Navy, at a simple ceremony at the Naval Headquarters.
