Unidentified criminals carried out bomb attacks yesterday in Satkhira and Brahmanbaria that left two people dead.Two people were killed and three others critically wounded when some criminals threw five bombs on a fish depot at Daliya market in Tala upazila in Satkhira district, reports our correspondent. Robin Mandol, 50, son of Haripada Mandol of Tikarampur upazila, died on the spot while Jaigir Sarder, 40, succumbed to his injuries on way to Satkhira Sadar Hospital. The injured are Noor Mohammad Sheikh, 50, Jahangir Sarder, 40, and Nuru Sarder, 50. All of them live in Tikarampur village. Sources said a gang threw the bombs one after another at about 7:30pm when people were gossiping at the Nur Mohammad fish depot. Meanwhile, a bomb was exploded in front of the government mother care clinic in Brahmanbaria at 8:20pm. Police recovered four batteries and leaflets that warned of further bomb attacks if hotels and restaurants were not kept shut during the Ramadan. In Kishoreganj, police recovered two abandoned bombs near a house at the Mirzapur village. Locals informed police after finding the bombs in plastic jugs. A bomb squad of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) rushed from Dhaka and neutralised the bombs.
