October 01, 2005       National Erratum Our story 'Thousands protest open pit coal mining in Phulbari' published in The Daily Star on page 20 on September 26 quoting Asia Energy geologist Badruzzaman said 10 to 20 percent of the coal will be lost if underground mining is done. Actually he had said that 10 to 20 per cent of deposit could be extracted in underground mining. The inadvertent mistake is regretted.
