The Jetset PR and Mediacom Limited, organiser of the 'Unity Concert', has also cancelled today's performance, which was due to be held at the Uttara Club.

Members of JAL, a Pakistani band, and Shayne from India have already arrived in Dhaka to perform in the concert, but the government issued a letter withdrawing the permission for the events at the eleventh hour, said a press release of the Mediacom Limited yesterday.

Habib of Bangladesh was also invited to perform in the concert.

The Mediacom said the government's decision at the last minute has caused much embarrassment to the company.

It also said the ticket price would be refunded and the details would be announced through advertisement.
