Biman's NY flight returns today

The New York flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines (BG-011) will arrive at Dhaka at around 9:00pm today after a delay of over 60 hours.

Biman sources said the US Federal Aviation Authorities (FAA) permitted the DC-10 passenger aircraft to leave the John F Kennedy Airport after its mechanical faults had been repaired.

The FAA authorities detained the aircraft for 24 hours due to its mechanical faults.

The Biman authorities arranged three hotels for the passengers at its own expenses.

The flight was supposed to land at Zia International Airport (ZIA) at 6:00am on Thursday.
