3 held for selling adulterated spices in Rangpur

A mobile court in a drive in Rangpur town yesterday arrested three persons on charge of selling adulterated food and spices.The arrested persons are Zillur Rahman, owner of Miah Mills; Gonesh Ghosh, owner of Gonesh Mills and Enamul Haque Mirza, a salesman of Sahida Mills. Magistrate Siddiqur Rahman led the team comprising a contingent of police headed by sub-inspector (SI) Moazzem Hossain of Sadar police station. During the drive, the Magistrate said the arrested persons were wholesale dealers of food and spice. They were engaged in selling adulterated food and spice in markets in the town for long. He told journalists that the mobile court seized harmful chemicals which were mixed with spices in their mills. The magistrate said a charge would be framed against the arrested persons for selling adulterated food and spice.
