I never supported any hartal call by any party. But this time I support hartal call by 14-party alliance. The government must take the full responsibility of what happened on August 17. Government was fully aware of the activities of Bangla Bhai, JMB but did not take any serious action. At the pressure of foreign countries and local NGOs the government was forced to arrest Dr. Galib and some other hardliners. However, government was reluctant to go further probably because of the internal pressure from a group within 4-party alliance. There are also widespread allegations of close connection between Bangla Bhai and some ruling party MPs of north region. After August 17 incidents these MPs blamed opposition for the bomb attack.The common people and the country will ultimately suffer. The helpless people can express their concern by responding to the hartal call.
