ICT in Bangladesh and SDNP
A.T.M. Anowarul Azim Asst. System & Server Administrator SDNP Bangladesh
Now-a-days ICT (Information & Communication Technology) is no less a familiar word in our country especially in Dhaka City and lately few metropolitan cities as well. ICT is dramatically changing the internal socio-economic and political structures of the world. Just put the finger on button and get replete with thousands of information from Internet resource. It became a common ground for different types professionals to derive ecstasy by boosting their professions and in consequence makes dynamism and creativity play unto them. However, most of the small towns and remote locations are still craving to join the expedition of the " ICT or internet revolution." Even though BTTB has covered all districts with its Internet, private organisations don't take risk in establishing their ICT base setup at small towns in apprehension of lesser profit. So the use of ICT in Bangladesh is confined within certain localities regardless of the massive population across the country. Some steps must be taken to serve the majority.
