Bodies of three children recovered in city


Bodies of three children were recovered in the city on Thursday.

Ramna police recovered a floating body from the Mirbagh Jheel (waterbody).

He was identified as Md Rabiul, 4. He had been missing since August 29.

Local people recovered the body of Niaz Uddin, 10, a resident of Kamrangir char, from Buriganga river.

The victim's family said Niaz went to the river to have a bath at 1:30pm and drowned.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where the doctors declared him dead.

In another incident, the local people recovered a floating body of Md Nahid Hussein, a student of class five of Baradeshi Primary School, from the river Turag at Amin Bazar at 1:00pm.
