Outlaws kill young man in Chuadanga

Cadres of an underground outfit slaughtered a man at village Hazirapur in Sadar upazila of Chuadanga district early yesterday.

The victim was identified as Thandu Mia, 35, son of Nabishuddin of the village.

According to police, two outlaws named Bahauddin and Moniruddin of the village called Thandu out of his house at about 2:00am.

They took Thandu to a house nearby, slit his throat and then dumped the body into a roadside ditch.

Locals found the body in the morning and informed the police. They (police) recovered the body and sent it to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital for an autopsy.

Police quoted family sources as saying that Thandu had a rivalry with the outlaws who had earlier threatened to kill him.

Police could not arrest any of the killers as of 6:30pm yesterday.
