BSF returns 2 bodies

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) yesterday returned the bodies of two Bangladeshis killed by them on Kosba border in Brahmanbaria district on Tuesday.The bodies of Abu Taher, 45, and Delwar Hussain, 55, were handed over to Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) at a company commander level flag meeting held on the zero line at noon. Later, the bodies were sent to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital for autopsy. The Indian border guards gunned down the two Bangladeshi labourers and injured ten others while they were lifting sand from Shalda river in the morning. Meanwhile, our staff correspondent reported that one of the ten labourers, who was injured in BSF firing on Kosba border on Tuesday, died at Orthapaedic Hospital in Dhaka yesterday morning. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, 30, of Putia village in Kosba upazila, was admitted to the hospital at 3:00am and died at 8:00am. After autopsy at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), Rafiq's body was handed over to his relatives yesterday evening.
