We are plagued by three evils. These are: terrorism, corruption and politics of hatred. The newly formed Anti-Corruption Commission came into being to curb one of those evils--corruption. There is know doubt that Bangladesh is submerged in corruption. However, our previous efforts to stifle corruption were not successful. That's why we are in a state of confusion whether the government is going to help the watchdog in right earnest or going to limit its periphery. What if it's tarred with the same brush like the now-defunct Bureau of Anti-Corruption? Whatever the situation is, we are very badly in need of an effective ACC.
