The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Wednesday announced the national U-19 squad that would start training under the High Performance programme from August 13 at the BKSP.The list included Test caps Nazmul Hossain, left-arm spinner Enamul Haque (Jr) and wicket-keeper Mushfiqur Rahim and that initially created some confusion as the three players were also named in the Tigers' 23-man preliminary squad for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka. National selector Athar Ali Khan later explained the reason behind including the trio. "Actually anybody can be included in the High Performance Programme, especially those who are still below the age of 19. But the national team is the first priority and the players will only join the HP camp if they are available." The selected players are: Nazmus Sadat, Showardhi Shuvo, Farhad Hossain, Mazhar Uddin, Rakibul Hassan, Nazmul Hossain Milon, Dollar Mahmood, Reazul Islam, Mehidi Hasan, Marshall Ayub, Kamrul Islam, Sajid Islam, Saquib Al Hasan, Amit Majumdar, Ashiqul Islam, Mahmudur Rahman, Ishraq Sonnet, Sirajullah Khadim, Humayun Kabir, Tamim Iqbal, Shuvashish Roy, Golam Rahman Himel, Mushfiqur Rahim, Nazmul Hossain, Enamul Haque (Jr), Mehrab Hossain Jr and Shamsur Rahman. Pacer Nazmul is currently in the Tigers' camp while Enamul and Mehrab are in England with the A side. Rahim is nursing an injury and Shamsur is in Australia playing in the Darwin League. The Bangladesh Under-19 team is scheduled to tour Sri Lanka in October and will take part in the Afro-Asian Under-19 tournament in India's Vishakhapatnam in November. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe are the other teams in the Afro-Asian tournament.
