Yorkshire feast on BD A

Bangladesh A team spent an awful day on their England tour yesterday when Yorkshire openers sent the visiting team bowlers on a leather hunt on the first day of the three-day match at Headingley, Leeds yesterday.

The opening pair of Joseph Sayers and Mathew Wood put on 272 runs before part-time bowler Tushar Imran made the breakthrough after tea.

Left-handed Sayers hit a 201-ball 115 after Yorkshire decided to bat first while his partner Wood hammered a superb 202 not out off 252 balls.

The home side declared their first innings at 357-2 with another eight overs remaining in the day's play.

Paceman Shahadat Hossain had one down Lumb bowled for 14.
