A discussion was held before the main event. President of RSSP's Comilla unit, Professor Shantanu Kaiser was the chairperson at the event. Central President of RSSP Wahidul Haque, and Rakibul Islam spoke on the occasion.

The speakers focused on the impact of the monsoon on Bangla literature and culture. They added that even the nature wears a different look during the rainy season.

The cultural event was conducted by Mita Pal, ABM Khurshid Alam, Manashi Shadhu and Gurudas Bhattachariya. Dance sequences by Priyalal Saha, Susmita Kar Chowdhury, Sumana Akter, Rathisha Rasba Chowdhury, Atashi Iqbal and songs rendered by Barnita Bhadra, Faizun Noor Sultana, Kazi Munira, Siratuj Jahan and many more received applause from the audience.

Poems were recited by Moushumi Bhowmik, Mahfuz Rizvi and Narattam.
