2 go missing as lighter ship sinks at Ctg port

Two people went missing when a lighter ship with 1500 tons of cement clinker capsized at the outer anchorage of Chittagong Port yesterday. They are Shamsuddin, an employee of the vessel's stevedoring agent, and the cook. Sources said MV Fortune was taking delivery of the cement clinkers from another vessel Golden Friday when it collided with the later and capsized in the rough sea at around 10.30am. Twelve other people of the vessel were, however, rescued. The lighter ship was to carry the cement clinker to Dhaka, sources added.
