RU opens new department

A new department -- Agricultural Economic, Rural Sociology and Statisticswas opened at Rajshahi University yesterday.The department under the Agriculture Faculty will start enrolling students in 2005-2006 academic session. Agromy and Agriculture Extension Department Chairman Prof Dr Aminul Haque has been appointed chairman of the new department, opened by RU VC Prof Altaf Hossain at a simple function. There are five departments under the Agriculture Faculty.
